PROFESSIONAL BALD CAP APPLICATION TIPS.
All WOOCHIE Appliances come with detailed step by step directions for first rate professional results.

STEP 1 - Using a spray bottle of water, dampen the hair and comb straight. To give hair a little extra hold work some HAIR SLICK
through with comb.

STEP 2 - Clean the area where the cap will be applied with an astringent or 99% alcohol on a cotton ball.

STEP 3 - Carefully stretch cap over head. Check the general fit and placement, adjust if needed. Watch for enough coverage of the sideburns, as well as the front hair line.

STEP 4 - Carefully peel back the front edge of the cap. Paint a layer of SPIRIT GUM on the skin from temple to temple. Pat the area with either a finger or with a white LATEX SPONGE to "tack" the glue. When your finger starts to stick to the glue, stop and gently grab the front of the cap. Pull it slightly forward and out, then press the edge of the cap down into the tacked SPIRIT GUM. Work any bubbles out which have been trapped underneath the cap.

STEP 5 - Next you will glue down the back of the cap to the nape of the neck. To begin, carefully peel back the cap, now paint a large area (an inch wide) with spirit gum. When ready tilt your head back slightly. While holding your head in this position, (this is where another set of hands is helpful), bring the cap down and foward. Press the cap firmly into the layer of glue. Hold this position until the glue has had time to set. At this time you may trim any excess material at the back of the neck.

STEP 6 - Now you are ready to cut out the ears. Using a MAKEUP PENCIL, sketch a line about 1/2 inch inside the edge of the ear. Lift the cap away from the ear and carefully cut the cap using the line you drew as a guide. Repeat the process for the other ear. Glue down the cap behind the ears, using the tacking technique as before.

STEP 7 - Finish up your gluing. Check the entire cap for loose edges or wrinkles, glue down as needed.

STEP 8 - Using a RED RUBBER STIPPLE SPONGE, stipple a small amount of FLESH LATEX along the edge of the cap to help break up and conceal it better.

STEP 9 -Powder well over the latex. Remove excess powder with a powder brush.

STEP 10 - You are now ready to apply makeup to the cap. To ready the cap to accept traditional cream based makeup, apply a thin layer of Castor Sealer sparingly over the cap and latex stipple. Blot off any excess. You may now apply makeup to the cap and the rest of the face. FLESH STACK is a good starting point. Using several colors, as opposed to one will achieve a more realistic look.

STEP 11 - Powder well to set the makeup. Remove excess powder with a powder brush.

REMOVAL
The standard way to remove a rubber bald cap is to simply pinch it at the crown and pull it away from the head. Using rounded cuticle scissors, cut a small hole into the latex and then cut a line, both towards the face and down towards the back of the neck. This splitting of the cap will allow access to work remover, such as MAKEUP AND ADHESIVE REMOVER, into the spirit gum with a brush.
